Task Management
Task Management
A task is the smallest unit of work in Syno. One card represents the smallest piece one person can complete.
Core Fields
- Title: One-line summary. Starting with an action verb makes progress easy to read (e.g., "Fix login page design").
- Status: One of the statuses defined in the project workflow. Becomes a board column.
- Assignees: One or more. With multiple assignees, agree on a single owner for accountability.
- Priority: Low / Medium / High / Urgent.
- Due date: Two-way synced with external calendars (Google/Apple).
Grouping
You can group tasks by these units.
| Unit | Use case |
|---|---|
| Epic | A large goal or a stream spanning quarters/sprints |
| Sprint | An execution batch of 1–2 weeks |
| Label | Domain or concern (e.g., frontend, bug) |
Status Transitions
Status moves step by step according to order. Skipping (e.g., order 0 → order 2) is not allowed. You can visually configure permitted transitions in the workflow editor.
Activity History
The History panel on the right of a task shows who changed what and when, in time order. Items changed by an agent show a 🤖 badge.
