Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-13
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Syno (the "Service") and set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between you and the Service operator. Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
1. Purpose
These Terms set out the conditions of use, procedures, and the respective rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the operator and users in connection with the collaborative work-management service provided by Syno (the "Service").
2. Definitions
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.
- "Service" means Syno and all related web and application-based work-management and collaboration features provided by the operator.
- "User" means a member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Account" means the authentication credentials a user creates or links through an external provider (e.g., Google) to be identified and to access the Service.
- "Workspace" means a collaborative environment that a user creates or joins for team-based work.
- "User Content" means any material a user creates, uploads, or transmits within the Service, including projects, tasks, documents, comments, team chat, meeting recordings and transcripts, and files.
3. Effect and Amendment of the Terms
These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or otherwise made available to users. By registering for or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
The operator may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. When the Terms are amended, the operator will give notice within the Service stating the effective date and the reason for the change at least 7 days in advance (or at least 30 days in advance for changes that are material or unfavorable to users). If you continue to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, you are deemed to have accepted the changes.
4. Formation of the Agreement and Eligibility
The user agreement is formed when a user agrees to these Terms and applies to register, and the operator accepts that application.
- Only individuals aged 14 or older may register for the Service.
- A minor who wishes to use the Service must obtain the consent of a legal guardian, and the operator may request confirmation of such consent where necessary.
- Users must provide accurate and current information at registration and must not impersonate others or misappropriate another person's information.
5. Provision and Modification of the Service
The operator provides Service features including workspace, project, and task management, document collaboration, team chat, meeting recording and transcription, and AI-based analysis. The Service is currently in beta and is provided on an "as-is" basis.
The operator may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service for reasons related to service quality, operations, or technical requirements. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, no separate compensation is provided for the modification or discontinuation of features offered free of charge. For material changes or discontinuation, however, the operator will give reasonable advance notice.
6. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
Users must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, and any usage policies announced by the operator, and must not engage in any of the following conduct.
- Impersonating others or making unauthorized use of accounts or authentication credentials.
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy, reputation, or other rights of the operator or any third party.
- Posting or transmitting content that violates applicable law or public order and morals.
- Distributing malicious code, gaining unauthorized access, or otherwise interfering with the normal operation of the Service.
- Using information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes without the operator's prior consent.
Users are responsible for managing their own accounts and authentication credentials, and are responsible for any unauthorized or fraudulent use attributable to their own fault.
7. Rights in User Content
All rights, including intellectual property rights, in User Content that a user creates or uploads within the Service belong to that user (or the rightful owner). The operator does not claim ownership of User Content.
However, to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service and to deliver features to users (such as storage, display, collaborative sharing, and meeting transcription and analysis), the operator holds a non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, process, and transmit User Content to the extent necessary. This license is limited to the purpose of providing the Service and terminates when the user deletes the content or terminates the agreement, except for portions shared with collaborators owing to the nature of collaboration.
8. Use of AI Features
The Service may provide artificial intelligence (AI) features, such as converting meeting recordings into text (transcription) and summarizing or analyzing transcripts. External processors may be used for these features; details are governed by the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated transcripts, summaries, and analyses may be inaccurate or incomplete owing to technical limitations. Users are responsible for independently reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI outputs before relying on them for work or decision-making, and the operator makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI outputs.
9. Fees
The Service is currently provided free of charge during the beta period. If paid plans are introduced in the future, the operator will provide advance notice of the specific terms, including fees, payment methods, and refund policy, and will obtain user consent before any conversion to a paid plan. The same applies where a feature previously offered free of charge becomes paid.
10. Termination and Suspension of Use
Users may terminate the agreement (withdraw their membership) at any time through the features available within the Service. The handling of personal data upon withdrawal is governed by the Privacy Policy.
If a user violates these Terms or applicable law, the operator may restrict the user's access or terminate the agreement after prior notice (or with subsequent notice in cases of urgent or material violations).
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is in beta and provided on an "as-is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator makes no express or implied warranties regarding the uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or fitness for any particular purpose of the Service.
The operator is not liable for damages arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, such as force majeure, failures of third-party services, or causes attributable to the user. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence, or where liability cannot be limited under mandatory provisions of law, including consumer protection laws.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the court with jurisdiction over any dispute between the operator and a user shall be determined in accordance with applicable law, including the Civil Procedure Act. Absent any separate agreement, the Seoul Central District Court shall be the court of first instance.
The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to these Terms even for users accessing the Service from outside the Republic of Korea. This does not, however, limit any consumer-protection or other rights granted to such users by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
